San Sebastian-Gipuzkoa Film Commission supports a sustainable audiovisual sector

San Sebastian-Gipuzkoa Film Commission takes care of the potential environmental impact of the activity carried out by the sector, and is therefore committed to support sustainable actions in the audiovisual industry.

This commitment began with the organisation of a webinar on “Sustainability in audio-visual productions and analysis of experiences and good practices in the application of measures to boost sustainability”. SSGFC launched a participative process with audiovisual producers in Gipuzkoa and professional audiovisual operators to gauge their opinions.

“80% of respondents believed it was necessary to implement measures to boost sustainability” 

SSGFC also published the Decalogue of good practices with measures to make productions and film shoots in Gipuzkoa more sustainable.

SSGFC now offers a free sustainability advisory service for audiovisual productions that shoot in Gipuzkoa. This service includes a project diagnosis and a sustainability plan.
